Revelation Week 8

Week 8 - ‘What must take place’: The cosmic conflict: God’s victory amidst rebellion (15:1-16:21)

According to the Bible, where do all the different races come from? More importantly, is “race” even a biblical category? We look at the two different early civil rights movements in America—the violent radicals, and the non-violent civil rights activists. And we demonstrate how Critical Race Theory is merely Cultural Marxism, promoting group-based rights, race-based redistribution of wealth, un-checked bureaucratic authority, and active racial discrimination. Lastly, we discover how the Old Testament law planted the seeds for the destruction of racial slavery.

In this week's message we explore more of the gospel of Mark. We look at two episodes which led to a showdown between Jesus and the religious leaders of His day. Religion can be dangerous! Thank you for tuning in!

As soon as he steps onto the ministry and preaching scene, Jesus is being targeted. In perfect wisdom and grace he clarifies that the things the Father gives to his people (commands and blessings) are fully for their good. Will they – will we – trust him and fully entrust ourselves to his good will?

Pastor John leads the discussion this week as we continue our series on the Book of Mark.

In this episode Joe Luethmers shares the story about a long friendship that presented an opportunity to donate his kidney. Both Joe and his wife Ann without hesitating said YES. Donating a kidney is no small thing, but sometimes in friendship the serving and loving and raising the hand to help becomes a bigger blessing than the sacrifice.

Revelation Week 7

‘What must take place’: The cosmic conflict: Battle (11:19-14:20)

We consider six areas of general concern in culture if gender ideology is fully embraced. We also look at some other examples of body-dysmorphia, which challenge and refute gender ideology. We also ask practical questions like, “Should I use someone’s preferred name or pronouns?” Finally, from a biblical perspective, is it being “inauthentic” to not go with your subjective feelings of self?
