We consider six areas of general concern in culture if gender ideology is fully embraced. We also look at some other examples of body-dysmorphia, which challenge and refute gender ideology. We also ask practical questions like, “Should I use someone’s preferred name or pronouns?” Finally, from a biblical perspective, is it being “inauthentic” to not go with your subjective feelings of self?

In Mark chapter 2, the people questioned Jesus about fasting and we still have questions about fasting today. Why would I do it? Do people still do that? Is fasting just for the super Christians? We will discuss the importance and the power found in spiritual disciplines and discover how they can lead us into a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus.

Christians can get quite sleepy and stuck and stuffy, unnecessarily. When it is a season where God is doing new things we should join the party (not grumble because the new wine is threatening to burst our old wineskins).

Pastor John leads the discussion this week as we continue our series on the Book of Mark.

Revelation Week 6

‘What must take place’: Current and coming woes (4:1-11:18)

Mackenzie Matthews leads our discussion this week as we continue our Series on the Book of Mark

In this message Mackenzie Matthews explores Mark 2.13-17 and the ways Jesus saw and invited the most socially despicable people (tax collectors) to belong with Him. The statement Jesus makes at the end of this account is a profound one: that He came not for the healthy but the sick. This message will challenge you to evaluate how you extend Gods welcome to those you come in contact with and it will encourage you to see yourself righty: a deeply flawed sinner covered in perfect grace.
