This week we continued our series How We Change: Practicing the Way of Jesus. Pastor Dary led us to explore rest as a spiritual practice. Are you good at rest? What does rest look like for you? Culturally we are living in a time when hustle and overdrive are celebrated. And culturally rest is really about getting 7-8 hours of sleep and having a good wind-down routine. But the rest of God is so much more than that. Our souls long to be at rest in Him. But it doesn’t just happen. So how do you practice it? I hope you have great conversations around this topic this week!

How about a nap? Does that sound good right now? haha Join us this weekend as we discover to practice of “Rest.” Yes… Rest! We are commanded by God to find ways to rest. Looking forward to seeing you online or live.

For some being a single person, especially in a Christian community can feel like being JV. It’s as if something is wrong or should be fixed. The Bible describes singlehood as a gift. In this episode we explore the journey to contentment and the value of singleness with Jen McLain. Jen is the Executive Director of the Alpha Center, and a longtime member of Timberline. Check it out.

How We Change: Prayer- Windsor Campus

Jesus’s prayer life shows us a fascinating dynamic in what he taught, how he prayed before others, and how he took time to go away and pray. As we consider all that ‘Practicing the way of Jesus in Prayer’ shows us, we ask the question: What do YOU have to say, God?

Pastor John leads our discussion this week on the subject of "Prayer"

Jesus said it was actually better for him to leave his original 12 disciples and for the Spirit to fill them because there was something that needed to CHANGE. When the Spirit came and moved among them, they were empowered to ‘practice the way of Jesus’ alongside one another, rather than just watching him. It’s just as true for you and me. You and I need to participate (not just associate) because you and I need one another in community.
