Luke 24:1-49 On Easter Sunday, a couple of women went to Jesus' tomb, but when they arrived, he wasn't there. The tomb was empty, and an angel greeted them with the news that Jesus was alive. The women hurried back to tell the others, and Jesus surprised his grieving disciples by showing up in their midst. Because Christ was raised from the dead, we know that death has been conquered. God’s mighty power is at work destroying sin, and creating new lives. All who believe in Him will be raised from the dead to live forever with Christ. Pastor John Mehl leads the discussion on some thoughts from Easter Sunday's message.
Luke 23:32-46 On Friday, after celebrating the Passover with His disciples, Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. It was there that He was arrested, before being tortured, and crucified. Jesus offered His life for us by dying on the cross for our sin, and taking the weight of our wrongdoing upon Himself. But His story isn’t over. Come back on Easter Sunday to hear the good news.
Luke 22:14-30 On Thursday at the last supper, Jesus and His disciples ate, drank, and prayed together. Jesus used the bread and wine to represent his body and blood as he explained the significance of what he was about to do on the cross.
