In baptism season in the life of the church, Pastor John explores Jesus’s baptism in light of the Great Exchange it extends to all who choose to accept it.

This week we explore the somewhat mysterious interactions that Jesus had with two of his apprentices, on the road to Emmaus, who did not recognize him right away (Luke 24:13–35). We see that Jesus provokes our faith with questions, and ultimately offers the great reversal of all that seems to have gone wrong. And it all started on “the day the Revolution began.”

In this episode Jeff Lucas shares his experience coming to faith which was quickly followed by his supernatural call into ministry. He is coming to the end of a long minsitry season pastoring Timberline Church and shares his wisdom about discerning the will of God. We also discuss his creative process, Lifeplan facilitating and his insights on joy and rest.

For a stand-alone weekend, Pastor John explores the ways Jesus’s call to ‘turn the other cheek’ is even more shocking than most of us realize. Jesus is not merely posturing his people in the midst of conflict and violence, he is presenting a way to overcome!

Do you enjoy food? Join us this weekend as we start a new summer series called Outrageous Hospitality. Jesus enjoyed food as well.

Finishing off the Walk of Becoming series on the Fruit of the Spirit, Pastor Mackenzie leads us in an exploration of self-control. While in many ways self-control entails a restraint of things, it also develops a freedom and a release that is unparalleled in the Christian life.
