At Timberline Church, our desire is to be present in our community. Being present can vary from supporting, serving, praying, and/or loving people with no strings attached. God commands us in Mark 12:30-31 to love God and to love others:
"'And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these."
Timberline Church has a unique and special opportunity to invite you to be a part of that will enable you to live out Mark 12:30-31.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has 109 patrol deputies that serve our community. On Friday, April 21, at 5 p.m., we are partnering with Shield616 to host a Vest Ceremony for 50 of our deputies in the main auditorium. Shield616 is based around Ephesians 6:16:
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
Their mission statement is to “...make Kingdom impacts by protecting and serving those who serve and protect.” During the ceremony, the deputies will receive much-needed protective gear, and they will be matched with a support team member from Timberline Church that is committed to praying for them. It will close with Pastor Dick Foth praying over the deputies and their families. There is nothing more powerful than being present to bear witness to the incredible commitment that they have made to us — individually and to our community. Every day they lay down their lives to protect our community. Let’s be generous with our time and prayers by being present at this event!

Refreshments and time for connection will follow the event in the mall area.
The power of presence can truly make the biggest difference in these deputies being seen and supported as they protect us day in and day out.
