As a volunteer at the food pantry, you will play a vital role in supporting community members in need. Your responsibilities will include assisting walk-in clients by greeting them, helping them navigate the pantry, and ensuring they select the appropriate food items for their household. You will also pack food boxes for clients who have ordered online, ensuring that the correct items are included and labeled for easy pickup. Additionally, you will help stock shelves, organize inventory, and ensure that food items are properly rotated to minimize waste. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in the community, requiring volunteers to be empathetic, organized, and ready to assist in a fast-paced environment.
The time commitment for this position is Monday's 9:45-12:15PM and Wednesday's and Friday's 9:45-12:15PM & 12:15-2:15PM.
A volunteer for this position should be passionate about helping people and loving them unconditionally.
The volunteer will need to be able to stand for most of the shift and lift 20-30lb boxes.
