Volunteers are expected to meet with their mentees three hours/week for a calendar year. During this time, they can hang out together in the community building relationship, trust, respect, and setting good boundaries. The volunteers are expected to be great role models for their mentees.
Meetings may occur any day of the week that works for both the mentor and the mentee.
Volunteers for this position should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth.
It helps if the volunteer has patience, understanding, communication skills, flexibility, a love for fun, and a great attitude.
Volunteers must have clean driving record and must pass background check. Volunteers must be 21 years or older.
