Having the eternal perspective that the Bible offers, tells us that while we’re eternally wired for “intimacy,” we’re only temporarily programed for “sexual attraction / expression.” That is, marriage and sexual expression will not be a part of the new creation. Therefore, your “true, authentic self” cannot be the makeup of your sexual desires. Finally, we realize that we must develop a theology of celibacy from the Bible.
