EQUIP Electives

EQUIP Adult Education classes meet on Sunday mornings (during services @ 10 & 11:30am), September thru May. Classes are always open and drop-ins are welcome. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with others as you grow in your personal spiritual journey with Christ.

The purpose of EQUIP is to provide people with the resources to understand the "what" and "why" of the Christian faith, and explore how we can live compelling lives in our culture. We seek to accomplish this by offering environments where people can find real answers to tough questions, and explore the biblical meaning of following Jesus as a disciple.

The Prophet Daniel

Les Brittingham
This fresh and unique study will take us through this wonderful and important prophet of the Old Testament: Daniel. Daniel is to the Old Testament, what Revelation is to the new. All of Jesus’ ministry in some way was based on the book of Daniel. This class will stay Christ focused and kingdom centered as we discover its relevance for the church today, while attempting to avoid much of the confusion that has often surrounded this book. Also, like Daniel, we will learn the principles of cross-cultural ministry as we live and minister in our own modern day Babylon.

The Good and Beautiful God: Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows (Book Study)

Instructor: George McKamey
Life - encountering the God of the universe - will be significantly transforming! Whether that transformation brings us closer to Christlikeness or moves us further away toward malformed toxicity depends, to a large extent, upon our perception of God. Do the words "Good and Beautiful" fit into your perception? This book explores this issue from an author who, through the experience of significant loss and struggle, wrestled with God being fully good and beautiful and arrived to a confidence that these words are perfectly correct. Let's explore this book together.
Please purchase the book, "The Good and Beautiful God: Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows (The Apprentice Series)", by James Bryan Smith (Author)and be sure to pre-read from the beginning through chapter 1 before the first session.
